Get the NHS App
The NHS App offers a range of features that make it a convenient tool for managing your healthcare needs. Here are some key benefits:
- Access to Medical Records: You can view your medical records, including information on allergies, current medications, and vaccination history. This access allows you to be more informed and prepared for medical appointments.
- Prescription Services: The app lets you order repeat prescriptions and choose a pharmacy for collection. You can see when you last ordered your medication and set up reminders for when it’s time to take your medication, which helps with adherence to treatment plans

- COVID-19 Services: The NHS App includes access to your COVID Pass, which shows your vaccination status and test results. This is helpful for travel or attending events that require proof of vaccination.

- Organ Donation Registration: You can easily register as an organ donor or change your donation preferences through the app.
Instructions To Register
1. Go to and download the NHS App (via App Store or Play Store)
2. Login or Register: Open the app and log in with your credentials. If you are a new user, you may need to register or create an account.
Request Medication
1. Under Services, click ‘Request Repeat Prescriptions’
2. Confirm which pharmacy you would like your prescription sent to, or nominate a new one.
3. Select the repeat medications you wish to request.
4. You can enter a message but this is not essential unless this is an early request for medication (in which case write the reason for early request).
5. Once submitted, you can track the progress of your prescription
6. Support: If you encounter any issues or have questions, look for a “Help,” “Support,” or “Contact Us” section in the app. This can connect you with customer service or technical support.
